I know we've had this idea floating around lightly for at least a couple years, but now that we have enough local contacts, I think we might be able to pull it off this summer.
I had the idea a couple days ago that we try and get a 24 mini-event going, most likely at Stevie's (with his approval) sometime between BA2 and BF4, late june or early July I'm thinking. I figured we could pull it off now because we could invite all the norwalk/miland guys and some of the toledo airsoft guys, even though that may be a little drive for them, 24 hours of shooting each other can't be that bad. Especially if the toledo guys that work in the shop are there, so if anyone's gun goes to sh*t, we could get it fixed fairly easily.
I haven't created any scenarios or anything, but you all know me, I could come up with enough to last the entire time in a few hours. This probably won't happen, but seeing as I have night vision and vito is most likely going to get it, and guessing that at least one toledo guys has a set, we could keep the thing going all night. I guess its up in the air now.

Anyone put any consideration into this idea yet? I sort of forgot that I had posted this, but I still think it would be a great idea. The only problem, which the problem that usually stands in our way is what field we can use. I doubt it would be feasable to use the junkyard over night, so this is still up in the air.

If we could find a big enough field, plus people willing to do it, id be up for it. They are talking about stuff like this on AO and the problem is people sleeping, who wants to be woken up just to go into a fire fight, but hell im all for it, Ill sleep in my gear i dont care, it everybody else. So as far as fields yeah tricky go ahead and look, but try to find people too.

it is a pond in the middle of a cornfield, on one side is a lane with many pallets and plywood making it very congested, on the other side is groups of trees and tall grass with straw bails as bunkers. its a very fun place. if you go on AO and look up memory lake it will have some pictures.

I've wanted to do this since the early days when we were playing paintball and using Crosman springers (2001-ish.) It's not an issue of whether or not we can pull it off, because no doubt it can be done, but could we arrange the factors necessary to make it fun? I think that it would take at least 30+ people in a fairly large area (10+ acres) to make this a fun game. A few weeks back one of the guys from Foxhound posted something about having (legal & legitimate) access to a large privately owned firing range/wilderness area. Sounds like a possibility, whoever talks to Ross/Noah next should bring that up. I like this brainstorming. Keep it coming.

Ok, well i know a few different people from around here. you guys must know some people we could easily get 30 or so people. memory lake is about 5-6 acres but thats counting the pond in the middle. the good thing about it is that it will keep games fast and moving yet the pond in the middle can easily seperate the two teams so you can have time to plan and stratagize*.

Yea maybe before we try a 24 hour game we should try a smaller game to test and get a idea of improvements and other things for the Field?
