I saw that S.T.A.T. was going and I was wondering if I could tag along. Also, if you guys need another squad member, let me know. I'm not going to register yet. I just want to see if its alright that I request bravo squad as well. (If not - no worries =D)
However, I'm definitely being on US side.
Thanks, Dom

Dan, Isaac, I need you guys to register ASAP for this event. Go to the CD2 forums, make an account, and then go to the "Register" thread and post your info. You'll be in Bravo squad with the rest of S.T.A.T. Also, you'll get access to the US team thread so you can see squads, radio channels, etc. www.phpbbserver.com/opcrimsondawn2/index.php?mforum=opcrimsondawn2If you want me to register you I can, the only info I don't know is Isaac's last name. If you want me to register you, just send me a private message. Thanks guys.

I can't wait, I already told King you guys were in. If you're not in that's fine but I have to go back on what I said to King and you'll more than likely lose your spot in the squad.

For all of you who are unsure if you're going, King is closing registration this Sunday, March 15th.
You have 6 days to make a decision and get registered.

For all of you guys that are rolling with us on the US side, we're having a US Forces Practice/Briefing on Sunday, March 29th. I've been talking with Phil about this for a week or so, but the date's just been finalized so I'm asking now for all of you to try to attend.
They're starting around 1030 Hrs., but the time is tentative. I'd like to get a little sleep after work, so we could leave around 1100/1130 Hrs. It's going to be held at a Quarry in Eastlake, OH where RTA & Ronin have permission to play. I'm willing to drive, but I can only fit me + 3 other people in my car, and only a minimal amount of gear.
Nobody who isn't registered for the US side at CD2 is permitted to attend. As you can understand, it's best for OPSEC if we don't have outsiders in the mix.
If you have more than 1 gun, I would suggest using your backup gun for this one. We're getting a little close to CD2 to risk breaking your primary weapon at a practice game.

It's right off Rt. 2 so I'll drive too. Since my TM is still down and probably will be for a while, I might just my camera. This could make for some interesting pictures...
Is this JUST STAT, Ronin, and RTA??

Well, I have a dilemma... Promy Tightbore for the M16, or a GBB pistol, probably a WE.
The deciding factor: Is Springfield a place where you would rather have range? Or a backup to clear buildings, corners, enclosed spaces, etc?

Your M16 already has range, and there is a solid chance you'll be clearing buildings. It's a tough choice, Springfield is a very diverse environment. You'll probably be doing a lot more firing at far-away targets than you will be clearing buildings.
I don't have a problem loaning you one of my pistols to use. Keep in mind that it may not be warm enough to use a GBB. If it gets to be below 55'-60' they usually expel all the gas after a few rounds.
After using a co2 pistol pretty regularly lately, I would recommend co2 over a canned gas pistol any day. They shoot harder, are more reliable, and can be used year-round with no problems.

I'll keep my eye out for a nice CO2 Pistol, but I know they tend to shoot hot for cqb. Maybe I'll get a GBB that is compatible with aftermarket CO2 mags.
Thanks for the help, Dom
Oh, and is there a price for the hotel per person yet? I'm just trying to figure out my budget for this order.
*EDIT* Bad news: I sent my Guarder SP110 spring in to KWA for them to switch out, and they didn't switch it out. I just chrono'd my gun and it's shooting around 433 with .20's and 395ish with .25's. I specifically told them to switch it out and even talked to their tech via their forum. Looks like I'm going to have to do it myself, then.

Honestly I would say just get the barrel for you M16 (that is after you switch the springs out). You'll probably come in a lot more handy if you can reach out and take people out before they get closer to the rest of us. Someone has to stay outside the building and make sure no one sneaks in on us =P

Yeah, I was thinking about that earlier. I'll be one of the only ones with a field-legal gun with decent range. I'll see how she shoots without an aftermarket barrel. If she shoots good, I may have to invest in a trusty KWA M9 PTP Tactical =D. Or that CA M4 that I want... Who knows.
*UPDATE*: The spring swap was a success. Did it in 15 minutes. Took 30 minutes total to disassemble, do spring swap, and reassemble.
I'll let you know how it shoots when I can see, tomorrow.
Thanks for all the input, Dom
