The field is located at the end of Plum Brook Creek Dr., which is a dead-end street. You will see the parking area as you approach the end of the street. In the photos it shows the street ending before the woods. I assure you the road has been extended since then and goes all the way into the woods. You won't have to drive into an open field.
Cost:
FREE!!!
Age Limit:
13
Player Cap:
40 Participants.
BDU Requirements:
None
Mag/Ammo limits:
None
Safety Equipment:
FULL SEALING, ANSI RATED GOGGLES ARE REQUIRED!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Do not show up with shooting glasses, shop glasses, sun glasses, ski goggles, science goggles, or any other form of insufficient eye protection - you WILL NOT be allowed on the field.
If you think your goggles may not be acceptable, please ask before attending. If you show up with questionable eye protection, you will provide them to staff and they will be "tested" multiple times at point blank range with the hottest shooting gun available.
Full face masks, mouth guards, balaclavas, and good boots are recommended, but not required.
FPS Limits:
All guns will be chronoed before being allowed on to the field. FPS LIMITS ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED - SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY!
FPS limits are as follows:
000 - 350 fps = 5ft MED.
350 - 400 fps = 15ft MED.
400 - 450 fps = 50ft MED. Semi-Auto Only!
450 - 550 fps = 100ft MED. Semi-Auto Only!
All guns will be chronoed with .2g BB's.
Support weapons will have an FPS limit of 450, and may still shoot full auto, but will only be allowed to fire over 400 FPS if they are an exact replica of a real-steel weapon. This means slapping a drum mag on your AEG does not qualify it as a support weapon. MED's still apply.
Grenade Rules:
Grenades have a 15 foot kill radius. All players within 15 feet of where the grenade STOPS will be considered hit. You do not need to be struck by a bb to be hit.
Grenades may only be used once per scenario. That means if you throw a grenade, you may not use that same grenade until the next scenario.
Tornado grenades and most semi-realistic dummy grenades are permitted. Thunder B distraction grenades will only count as a kill if the frag-style shells are used. NO METAL GRENADES ARE ALLOWED!!! If you have any questions of whether your grenade will be permitted, please ask before attending the event.
It is recommended that you shout "Grenade!" or "Frag out!" when throwing a grenade. This will prevent other players from being struck by a thrown grenade as well as make players aware they have been killed by a grenade.
Scenario:
We will have a list of scenarios to run through, but if you've got a good idea for something you'd like to try out we're always open to suggestions.
Gameplay rules:
Stating "Bang-Bang" or "Safety Kill" is highly encouraged if you have someone dead to rights at close range. Sportsmanship is a requirement to play, and safety is our #1 priority.
Unless otherwise stated, standard Airsoft Ohio rules will apply. To view AO rules, click the following link: www.airsoftohio.com/forums/view.php?pg=rules
Other Info/Rules:
This field is private property owned by a S.T.A.T. member. The Erie County Sheriff's Office will be notified in advance that we will be playing. We do ask that you stay inside the treeline as the field is in distant view of a few homes as well as a busy highway. While it is private property, we would like to respect the neighbors and the Sheriff's Office by avoiding all contact & complaints. DO NOT fire or point your replicas in the direction of any homes or the highway. I would be glad to answer any questions anyone has about these issues.
