I think that's the one that the guys brought to the last game we had. It seemed to be having some problems. If you do get one, I would get it upgraded a little bit with some better internals. I'm not sure which ones to get yet, but I will look some stuff up to let you know. You should get on Airsoft Ohio Forums and talk to Blade. He knows his stuff. What I can tell you to do now, is to read AS MANY reviews about it that you can and find out what problems (if any) there are with it, and that's what you could get fixed/modified.

No, they dropped the Classic Army one ( Anthony's ) at Irene and cracked the 5000 round box magazine. Not the Echo 1 one. I'd just look into it more if I were you.

We don't have an ECHO 1 249. The 249 we have is the Classic Army. It's been upgraded so many times I don't think anyone even knows what's inside it anymore. It has been beat up pretty bad though, so that probably has a lot to do with the performance problems. Anthony's a little guy to be carrying that huge gun around, and I love the little guy but he's not the most "graceful" shall we say so that gun has been dropped a LOT. I've read a few reviews on the ECHO 1 249's and this is what I took from them: Apparently the body is solid, no structural issues. The internals though are about on par with what ECHO 1 is known for. They're good, but not great. Also, the box mag that comes with the ECHO 1 is apparently junk, so you should buy a MAG brand box mag if you want one that's reliable.
I plan on buying an ECHO 1 249 Para before the year's end, just to have a support gun if I so feel like using one on a given day.
