Fantastic job guys. I can't express that enough.
Vito, I couldn't have done it without your help as Platoon Sgt. You guys that have been here forever, you know what we're about and never fail to get the job done. Newer guys, Corey, Kyle, Brad, Wes, you all acted like you've been playing for years. I was very impressed by your sportsmanship and fortitude.
As platoon leader, it is a total clusterf*ck trying to keep 50 players together, much less organized and working toward the same goal. Complicating the situation is near constant fire from the enemy that ends up scattering hit players, the fact that 75% of players don't read the forums, last minute arrivals who have no clue what's going on, radio range equivalent to a 1992 fisher price walkie-talkie, and 14 year old noobs who don't listen and have no concept of a command structure.
Fortunately I had 3 out of 4 squads I knew I could rely on, and the fourth was a mashup of last minute additions. Needless to say, it's always fantastic having you guys as the core squad I can count on to be there and get things done and I'm proud to be able to lead such a great group of players into battle.
Mike and Peterman, I wish you guys were there, you missed a hell of a time. Green put up a hell of a fight and knocked our d*cks in the dirt more than once in the early part of the day. As time went on, the command strategy seemed to be working as green became fewer and fewer and less aggressive by the hour. By the end of the day I believe we had completed almost all of our objectives and were basically mopping up the small pockets of green that didn't quit when tan took the airfield. It was a great Blind Fury and will rank up there with some of my favorites.
For those of you attending Irene, I apologize in advance that I won't be rolling with you. Vito will no doubt have you kicking ass all day and I'm sorry I will miss it.
There is talk that next year may be the last event in the Blind Fury series. Either way we will be there kicking ass like every other year. Viva Tropico!
